You said DASRI?
DASRI stands for Waste from Infectious Risk Healthcare Activities. The Public Health Code defines DASRI as all waste resulting from diagnostic, monitoring, and treatment activities in the fields of human and veterinary medicine, including:
- • Sharp, cutting, or pointed objects
- • Contaminated objects from surgical procedures (blood, biological fluid)
- • Dressings, compresses
- • Human anatomical waste
Treatment and disposal of DASRI: STANDARDIZATION
Any medical and/or healthcare act (individual or hospital) generates DASRI.
According to Article R1335-2 of the Public Health Code, every producer of DASRI is required to dispose of it.
Thanks to its green technology, the ECODAS standardizer grinds and sterilizes infectious risk healthcare activity waste (DASRI) using steam. The resulting grindings are then disposed of along with household waste.
The treatment capacity of ECODAS machines varies between 100 and 2500 liters. This wide range of machines allows for adaptation to the treatment needs of each producer, offering on-site installations (at hospitals) or in specialized treatment centers.
